AFEE works hard to improve the lives of children through the following programs.
”Xamal Xale Yi”:
This Wolof term means “faire connetre aux enfants” in French or educating children, in English. This is a programme instituted by AFEE to introduce children to the idea of responsible citizenship.
Workshops are organised every 15 days at the school 9A de Pikine. The children sing songs and then are split into small groups to do manual activities such as mosaics, pop art and collages. They also make sketches about things like HIV/AIDS, Malaria, child marriages and the importance of education.
This year, a mini Olympics was held at the school thanks to the generosity of AMO Industries led by Amadou Wade.
Workshops are not only limited to children. They are also organised for adults on themes including the importance of education for children, registering children with the state, health including HIV/AIDS, malaria, vaccinations, hygiene and cleanliness, prevention of teeth problems and on nutrition.

Les Espaces des Tout-Petits:
These centres function like a day care centre, which allows kids to be introduced to the education system very young and gives mothers time to do other things during the day.
